Conservation and Utilization Support
In order to share the significance of Korean cultural heritage with a wider world,
we support various projects for the conservation, restoration, and utilization of Korean collections housed in overseas institutions.
Providing Support for Conservation, Management, and Utilization of Korean Cultural Heritage
We provide support for diverse ideas and projects related to the conservation, management, and utilization of Korean cultural heritage held in collections abroad to ensure that they can be fully appreciated by local audiences.
Hosting Workshops on Conservation and Restoration
Since 2017, the foundation has been hosting educational workshops for experts worldwide regarding the conservation and restoration of Korean cultural heritage in an effort to promote the understanding and continued utilization of overseas Korean cultural heritage. Many of the overseas institutions holding Korean collections are facing a shortage of conservators specialized in the conservation and restoration of Korean cultural heritage. Therefore, we dispatch Korean experts to other countries to conduct education on theories regarding Korean cultural heritage and training on conservation and restoration practices.
Production of Content on Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage
The foundation contributes toward the widespread promotion of the invaluable and captivating aspects of Korean cultural heritage by producing various multimedia content such as videos and printed publications that feature Korean cultural heritage overseas.
